Workshop Order Guide

App Store / Play Store

  • Download the app: WooCommerce Store & POS
  • To login, enter the store URL: online.erikdalton.com
  • There will be an option to login using your store credentials. This will be the same login that you use to access your courses at erikdalton.com

Opening the Order Page

  • When you login you’ll land on the “My Store” dashboard page
  • You’ll see four icons at the bottom of the dashboard
  • Click the Order icon to start the process of placing an order

Start Creating an Order

  • The order page lists all Completed orders or orders Pending Payment
  • To create an order, click the Add icon (a circle with a +)

Order Page

In creating an order, there will be four fields that you’ll need to fill out:

  1. Add product
  2. Add coupon (to provide a discount if applicable)
  3. Add customer details
  4. Add note

Add Products to an Order

  • Click the Add products link
  • From the list you’ll select products that the customer wishes to order. Note: This is the entire store catalog.
  • To find the products:
  1. Start typing the product name in the Search Products box

OR

  1. Use the filter function to facilitate the process
  • Click the radio button to add that item to their cart.

Filtering Products

  • Click the Filter link and choose the Category option
  • You’ll see a list of categories of product. Clicking on the category will give you a list of all products on the website under that category.
  • The POS Quick Lookup category contains some of the most frequently purchased items:
    • USB Home Study Bundles
    • Foundational Home Study Courses
    • T-Shirts
    • Posters
    • Manuals
  • When you’ve chosen the products, click the purple Select Products button at the bottom of the page to add them to the cart.

Adding Additional Products

  • As you add products they will appear in the customer’s cart
  • To add additional products, click the “+” at the top of the cart.
  • To remove products from the cart, click the expand arrow and choose the Remove product from order link.

Discounting Bundles

  • Bundles are 30% off at workshops and there are no shipping costs for the customer even if the product needs to be shipped afterwards.
  • To apply the discount, choose Add coupon and select the coupon code: workshop-30-off-bundles
  • Note: There is no shipping charge for any product purchased at the workshops through the POS system. You do NOT need to choose the freeshipping coupon code.

Add Customer Details

  • From the customer’s cart, choose Add customer details
  • Start typing the customer’s email (easiest) or name and the drop-down list will autofill as you type.
  • Everyone at the workshop will be in this system.

Add Note

  • From the customer’s cart, choose Add note
  • Note the location of the workshop (e.g., Atlanta) and note whether product was obtained at the workshop or needs to be shipped. (The customer will see this note on their receipt.)
  • Click Done
  • Because you’re processing the order on a phone or tablet, you can use the microphone icon to record the note with voice dictation.

Confirm Order Details

Check the order for accuracy:

  • Customer name
  • Correct courses
  • Discount applied (if applicable)
  • Shipping should be $0
  • Click Collect Payment

Choose Payment Method

  • Choose Cash if the customer is paying by cash or check.
  • Choose Tap To Pay for credit card orders.

Take Payment

  • You’ll see an indication that the processing is in progress. When ready to receive payments you’ll see a screen with a large purple button.
  • The customer may have to tap either behind or in front of the phone depending on the device. There will be tap instructions on the screen.
  • Have the customer hold the card temporarily against the device.
  • Wait for the confirmation screen to confirm payment has been processed.

What Happens After Purchase

  • Provide the customer with the products they’ve purchased.
  • The customer will receive an email receipt sent to their email on file immediately.
  • Any eCourses that were purchased or that are included with home study programs will be immediately added to their account and available in the “My Courses” area on the erikdalton.com website when they log in.
  • Kim will receive a notification of each order and will ship any product that you’ve noted in the order note.
